No, this isn't a self-portrait :)

My name is Charles Clerc and I created this site as part of my continuing effort to become more creative by exploring a wide range of creative topics (game programming, art, creative writing, affiliate marketing…)  and I research and apply the most effective means of growing in strength (energy needed for all creative undertakings) and productivity. This has allowed me to carry out projects that have made me better (I lost a lot of weight, created a huge adventure game, cornered the basics of creative writing…) Catch up on the subjects that interest you or find your own passions and live by them!

“The creative person wants to be a know-it-all. He wants to know about all kinds of things-ancient history, nineteenth century mathematics, current manufacturing techniques, hog futures. Because he never knows when these ideas might come together to form a new idea. It may happen six minutes later, or six months, or six years. But he has faith that it will happen.”

    I can not believe the amount of quality material that exists on this site. The site is extremely eye catching and pulls the reader straight in, the articles are great quality and are very professionally written. I have seen too many of these sites where it looks like they pay an 8 year old to do the writing – Not this one. Your site is easily the best that I have seen in a long while.

    Dear Charles,

    I found your site because I was looking for a personal planner and found Z Planner. It appealed to me because I’ve been in project management and miss having some of those tools in a planner.

    I’m a physicist whose health suddenly failed. Although I am better now, I am constantly learning about health especially amino acids, hormones, and enzymes. I would like to contribute to your site.

    What I had in mind – I would email you bits of information and anything that you liked I would write a polished article with drawings. Even it you didn’t post it I would have a copy ready to show others.

    For example, some people crash after they exercise and here is one reason why – their liver has become fatty and will not properly convert B6 to active B6 (i.e. P-5-P). You need P-5-P to absorb from protien the essential amino acid Methionine which in turn is needed to breakdown fat. Without it the liver gets fatter and makes less P-5-P.

    Your stuck and your existence is hard. You crash because you cannot breakdown fat (no second wind). You can get fatter but you cannot get thinner.

    Taking one small inexpensive pill of P-5-P a day alone can turn everything around for this person. The person will feel better in days.

    Well I have to go.
    Mark.

    Hi Mark,

    That seems very interesting and well researched – but – I can’t stress enough that this is exactly the kind of info that needs prior approval from a registered physician (anything involving pills) for anyone reading your comment.

    I hope Z Planner helps! As for information you would like to see published, why not! Of course you would get credit as co author, or sole author. But note that I’m finishing a project that is taking most of my time lately.

    Thanks for commenting!

    Very interested in the Z planner, but I tried to install it on my laptop,twice, and response is :
    Run-time error 339
    component com dlg ocx or one of its dependencies is
    not correctly registered.A file is missing or invalid”
    How to I correct this, so that I can use the zPlanner?
    Thank you

    @mike
    Hi Mike,
    Unfortunately z Planner being a VB app such components sometimes need to be reinstalled and registered. This issue is addressed at the following address, amongst other places:

    Best regards,

    Charles,

    Did you also create the blog, Understanding Weight Loss? If so thank you, it’s a very informative site. I was looking for a contact link, but could not find it, so I hope you do not mind me posting it here (I suppose you can delete it if you do). I was wondering if you could recommend resource for learning more about the profiling of body type for me, so I figure out what I am and learn more about it. I was also wondering if you would recommend any other resources you found helpful (in the blog you link a few, but I’m sure they’re more).

    Thank you,
    Zach

    @Zach
    Hi Zach, yes I did create that site although I’m not sure I’ll be keeping it. Most of the infor there I added here.

    For further reference I would suggest joining an active forum on the question. Those that I didn’t cite were in a different language so they probably wouldn’t help.

    My take on body type (and I may be wrong – it’s just my take) is that it is an effect rather than a cause. Like a symptom sort of, that may give limited info.

    Muscle type seems a more promising area to explore (there’s an article here that isn’t on UFL).

    Good luck and thanks for commenting!
