Hi Tony,

I'm glad to read you're having results showing for your efforts! :)

I don't know the exact insulinic index for yogurt either to be honest, but I do know that milk (and therefore dairy products in general) have a hign insulinic index, despite a low glycemic index. That pretty much makes dairy products incompatible with this diet - except on cheat day, when it's actually recommended because on that day you're looking for an insulin spike that will restart metabolic processes.

What a treasure trove of good information/advice! I started dieting about a month ago, following the advice I got from a single conversation from a friend; most of his advice is a subset of yours, but it really started working for me! (I'm one of these people who have trouble loosing weight).

I read somewhere recently that yogurt has a high insulinic index level. Do you know what it is by any chance? I can't seem to find this info. I was a little shocked. I've been having a cup of yogurt as part of my breakfast every day, and I'm wondering if this is a terrible idea.

<a href="#comment-3165" rel="nofollow">@Zach </a>
Hi Zach, yes I did create that site although I'm not sure I'll be keeping it. Most of the infor there I added here.

For further reference I would suggest joining an active forum on the question. Those that I didn't cite were in a different language so they probably wouldn't help.

My take on body type (and I may be wrong - it's just my take) is that it is an effect rather than a cause. Like a symptom sort of, that may give limited info.

Muscle type seems a more promising area to explore (there's an article here that isn't on UFL).

Good luck and thanks for commenting!

Charles,

Did you also create the blog, Understanding Weight Loss? If so thank you, it's a very informative site. I was looking for a contact link, but could not find it, so I hope you do not mind me posting it here (I suppose you can delete it if you do). I was wondering if you could recommend resource for learning more about the profiling of body type for me, so I figure out what I am and learn more about it. I was also wondering if you would recommend any other resources you found helpful (in the blog you link a few, but I'm sure they're more).

Thank you,
Zach

Hi Mike,
Unfortunately z Planner being a VB app such components sometimes need to be reinstalled and registered. This issue is addressed at the following address, amongst other places:

http://windowsxp.mvps.org/comdlg32.htm

Best regards,
Charles

dear charles: the first thing that came to mind, after falling into the “creative lab” rabbit hole, was a question: “mike” i asked myself, do you agree that in a general way, people seem to belong in two catagories: (1). those who are fearful of living, and look at other people as if they have a dollar sign pasted on their face. they are afraid of life and afraid of death. they are of the ego and of limited ability to explore. (2). those people who love life, and enjoy the entire “play of existance” (after all, we as humans are making all this up…hopefully i’m not starring, in every scene, in the worst B movie ever written, by me?) they love every second of this forever experience. these people are givers not takers, they don’t view others as a pocket to pick to fill their insatiable hungers.. they are compationate, inquisitive, in the moment, holistic in thinking…..in an instant, i understood that charles is of the second type. wonderful. the second thought was of myself spending many, many hours, over a period of months, sitting in front of the “raft of the madusa” at the louve.
thirdly, how great it is to have a teacher like charles, who wants to give away, and share his quest of exploration…..and interestingly, few people write him to say hello, and thanks for the inspiration. the joy of creation… being in the moment, when time has no meaning, and no place. i was looking for a “free calendar” on the web, free because calendars keep track of something not real…so how much is it worth? $29.95…not really worth anything, and i was led in serendipitious syncronsity to a guy who makes a calendar for people who aren’t traped in the illusion of time. perfect, that’s what i was asking for! hello charles, thanks, mike.
