Drawing is a fun, relaxing hobby. I am considering creating a tutorial but… I am a rather average artist. Perhaps I’ll just post more drawings in the future so as to track progress. Until then there are people far more qualified to teach you to draw!

Pencil Drawing Techniques

Just a few passing tips: The most important part of drawing a portrait is getting the proportions right. I completed the above portrait after taking measurements of a photo from some fashion magazine.

Once you’ve laid a few cardinal points and vectors on paper, you pretty much just have to connect the dots with long, light pencil strokes.

I scanned and colored the drawing using Paintshop Pro 6. Not exactly the latest reference in terms of graphics software, but it gets the job done!

Important Productivity Tip: Is your computer loading as fast as it used to? Is is freezing or crashing occasionally? If you use windows, it needs a weekly registry scan & clean! No m-more... re-b... boots! It must be done, so please get the best registry cleaner around (rated 5 cows on Tucows!), greatly increase your productivity and support the Creative Lab! Reclaim your sanity! (compensation disclosure - Creative Lab gets a referral reward if you purchase, which will help further developments!)
