This is an unplanned quick post in reaction to David Gallant releasing a workout mix tape I am listening to as I am writing this, + the fact that it is his birthday and he shamelessly asked to be showered with gifts on Twitter.

I don’t know David but caught a retweet, so now I do, a little!

The benefit for you? The music might bring that extra bit of motivation you need for that next workout, and if you’ve been here before you probably already know I consider being fit as a pillar for long-term creativity. Besides, it starts off with Daft Punk!

Like all mix tapes, there will be sequences you like more than others. And like most mix tapes, this is meant for ladies. I downloaded anyway :) .

As stated above, it is especially effective if it involves laughter. Everyone knows laughter is healthful, but it is knowledge that, like many other known facts, stays in the back of our heads and isn’t applied often enough.

Try a funny, playful break from work from time to time. It beats the usual coffee break, so why not take a minute to write down a quick list of break ideas that will make you laugh, and pick one of those when the time comes to wind down.

When one of those breaks ends, the following hours of work will be more creative, and more productive. It never fails!
